Lebron James: The guy is long overdue for an appearance in the contest. Rumors swirled in high school that he could do a reverse from the freethrow line. James even eastbayed in a high school game before. I think having him in the contest would not only be good for the dunk contest but for the NBA as well.
Derrick Rose: Derrick "Pooh" Rose should have been in it this year although he said he isn't creative enough. If Rose can manage to put down some of the game dunks he had in high school in a dunk contest he would be a contender no doubt. His pump reverse in the Skill Challenge this past year would have been top 3 best dunks in this past years contest.
James White: White would take the contest easily if he made his dunks, which has been a problem for him in the past. White can do a whole dunk contest just from the freethrow line. Best dunks from the freethrow line are his windmill and eastbay. White says he has two dunks he has kept a secret for a while now and will show them out if put in the NBA Dunk Contest...I just hope he can stay in the league until then. James just took the NBDL Dunk Contest this year.
And if James White cant stay in the League i'd substitute him for Jerryd Bayless.
Jerryd Bayless: Jerryd can definitely make some noise in the contest if he entered. In the McDonald's 2007 Dunk Contest he had some good attempts but missed everything in the first round. If he did some of his game dunks in the contest he would be solid.
I feel Josh Smith could definitely be a contender, same with JR Smith. Gerald Green has the highest potential but he keeps going gimmick when he should just stick to the simple sometimes.
Good list. Rose's pump reverse was ill. I think Rudy Gay definitely has something to bring to the dunk contest. Some of his game dunks are mean. I also think Andre Iguodala was robbed and deserves another shot.
